Fire Supposed to be of Incendiary Stock Saved After Heroic Loss A large barn on the farm of the Moses L. Bowman estate, two miles east of Myerstqwn, was totally destroyed by a fire of' supposed incendiary origin. Kohns, the tenant farmer, discovered the fire about 10 o'clock, and while he worked heroically in saving the live stock, had the alarm ccurled'to Myerstown. The live stock was gotten out safely, but the season's crops, machinery and farming implements were consumed. The loss is about Only through the efforts of the Myerstowh llremen, with their apparatus, were the adjoin, ing buildings saved.

the E. Weimer, has received a handsome new automobile. The machine is a 24 horse power touring car, manufactured by The Haynes Appcrson Company, of Kokomo, Ind. The motor is one of their regular opposed cylinder variety, is mounted on the forward end of the car just over the front axle and beneath the bonnet. The car, with the regular touring sprocket, will show a speed of 35 miles an hour on level roads and under favorable conditions.

Mr. Woimer has accepted the local agency for the auto firm from whom he made the purchase. Ho will keep his other automobile which he purchased only about a year ago. Musical Event at Lebanon Valley Conservatory Prof. Karl Jackson, the newly elected professor of voice culture at Lebanon Valley college, gave an introductory recital in the conservatory auditorium of the coilege on Monday evening in the presence of a large number of students and their friends.

His rendition of all the numbers on the program was of such a character as to fully demonstrate his ability to fill his new position and his hearers were delighted. He possesses an excellent voice and all the.qualifications otherwise to make a most successful instructor. Prof. Herbert OKlham presided at the piano and his work was a feature of the concert. The excellent program, as published in this paper a few days ago was brilliantly rendered.

Croll will give a number of sidelights at tlm state convention, while the convention from the delegation standpoint will be given by Miss Elizabeth Spayd; other members of the delegation will speak on various features of the convention. The choruses will be led by the Allentown delegation, who will bo seated together. Persons attended the Allentown convention arc requested to be present and wear their convention badges.
