The day's activities will begin at 9:30 a. m. with registration of all guests and delegates. The day's program will include devotions, a business meeting with election of officers, and project planning for the coming year, a luncheon, a case history by a case-worker, a discussion period, installation of officers, closing devotions and coffee. At this time donations of such items as canned fruits and juice, meat, vegetables, ets. will be accepted on behalf of the Society. Delegates from this area include Mrs. John Hanselman and Mrs. William Dau, Sr., both of Algona, Cancer Society Unit Sees Film, Offers Use The North Kossuth American Cancer Board met recently in the home of Mrs. R. C. Johnson in Swea City. Board president, Mrs. A. D. VanNorman, presided at the meeting. Fran Anderson, field representative, announced that the state convention will be held in Des Moines in November. Joyce Hayden gave a report on several service cases. A discussion was held concerning the loan closet equipment. Cancer patients needing hospital equip- ment for the home are eligible to borrow this equipment. A film "What's New" was shown to the board members. This new film is available for showing for any organization. Anyone interested in having this film shown to their group may contact Mrs. Don Behnkendorf or Mrs. R. S. Underkofler, both of Bancroft. She received her pri- vate license last month in a test at Burlington after having passed examinations and at least 40 hours in the air. Mrs. N. F. Weber entertained her bridge clubThursday. Minnie Frimml will entertain the women Oct. 21. Mrs. Elmer Doughan entertained the Jolly Dozen club Oct. 5. Mrs. Leonard Arndorfer and Mrs. Clarence Aitcheson were guests. Mrs. John Muehe returned Wednesday from Kingfisher, Okla. where she had gone Oct. 2 by bus to attend the funeral of William, 22 year old son of the Charles Uhlenhakes, who was killed in a one car accident. Charles Uhlenhakes is a cousin of Mrs. Muehe. Mesdames R. Jongewaard, Fred Bentele, Lou Simpson, Edna Wubben, Lester Larson, Alma Funnemark and L. Lease went to Boone Oct. 5 where they attended the annual bazaar and fall festival. They visited with Mrs. Esther Skow of Boone, formerly of the Wesley area.
