Committee- on Essays reported that Rev. Max Hark had consented to write an essay to be read before the Convention. Committee cm Finance reported that they had agreed to pass a' subscription Hat, headed by the members of the Convention, among our citizens for tbo purpose of raising funds to defray the expenses of Convention, knowing that the citizens will cheerfully respond when called upon, appreciating the good work which the Convention is trying to accomplish. $40 was at once subscribed Ly the members present.
