Surviving besides his son are his wife, Florence; two daughters, Eleanor Stephenson and Elizabeth Drinkas, and four step Grosse Pointe Farms. Bemb became branch manager. He left Ford to join the J. H. Brady Auto Co. in 1908 and became assistant general sales manger of Hudson Motor Car Co.

in 1910. Mr. Bemb founded his own dealership in 1912, the Bemb-Robinson which distributed Hudsons, Buicks, Pontiacs and Rolls Royces. Believing that pleasing the customer was paramount, Mr. Bemb was proud of the elaborate display room replete with oriental rugs, settees and special illumination.

MR. BEMB DIED of a heart attack Wednesday at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was 96. A native of Esslingen, Germany, Mr. Bemb moved to Detroit with his family in 1893.

As a youth, he sold flowers from his family's florist shop in front of the Detroit Opera House. After Bemb-Robinson Co. closed in 1926, Mr. Bemb became vice-president and director of customer relations with Houdaille-Hershey a parts distributor. In 1933, he opened a new dealership, Walter J.

The family suggests memorials to the Visiting Nursing Association of Metropolitan Detroit, the St. Peter's Home for Boys, the Sigma Gamma Foundation or a charity.

Mdward Levy services moved Funeral services for Edward C. Levy, retired board chairman and founder of the Detroit-based Edward C. Levy will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Temple Beth El, 7400 Telegraph at Thirteen Mile Road. Burial will be in Clover Hill Park Cemetery, Birmingham.

Mr. Bemb and his wife, the former Inez DeCosta, had lived in Beverly Hills since 1918. Mrs. Bemb died Aug. 27.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Wm. R. Hamilton Birmingham. Burial will be at the White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
