Upper Des Moineft Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1965 Sentral Puts 19-0 Tag On Lincoln-Central Grid Hope FENTON - The Sentral Satellites won their opening game of State Line Conference play here Friday night as they orbited the Lincoln-Central Hawks 190. Lee Preston, UOpoundback, started things rolling for the Satellites In the first quarter on fc TO producing run around left end for 34 yards. A pass Attempt for the extra point was Incomplete. Quarterback Mark Geltzenauer added another six points to the Sentral scoring effort on an eight yard keep around right end In the last minutes of the first period. The extra pdlnt attempt, a pass from Geltzenauer to Duane De- Sari, was successful, and ended the first period scoring. Lincoln-Central came close to paydlrt In the second quarter when a Hawk player Intercepted a Sentral pass and ran It back to Sentral's 30 yard line. A completed pass moved the ball to the Sentral 12 yard line, but the Hawks could penetrate no deeper and Sentral took posse slon on its own 10 yard line to end the threat. Near the end of the first half Alan Luedtke, a Satellite end, Intercepted a Hawk pass on the Sentral 45 and ran It to the Lincoln-Central 30. But time ran out in the half before the Satellites could score. The thrld period went scoreless, and neither team seriously threatened the opposing goal. With three minutes left to play in the fourth: period, Sentral penetrated to the Hawks' three yard line. On the third down, after two unsuccessful pass attempts, the Satellites fumbled and Lincoln-Central recovered. The Hawks couldn't break away, however,'and they punted from their own end zone. In the last minute of play the Satellites scored their third TD on a 15 yard pass from quarterback Mark Geltzenauer to end Alan Luedtke. STATISTICS Twin Rivers Is 14-13 Loser To Laurens Laurens scored with two minutes left in the game to edge Twin Rivers 14-13 in the homecoming game played at Laurens Friday night. Steve Wilson scored from 3 yards out in the last period and then ran for the extra point to lead Laurens to the win. Roger Bellinghauser scored the other touchdown on a 5-yard quarterback sneak. Scoring for Twin Rivers both times was quarterback Mike Roland on runs of 7 and 1 yard. Laurens is 1-1 for the season while Twin Rivers is 0-2. The first TR lost was to Humboldt. First Downs Yds.
