MRS. GLENN JONES, who has been secretary at the Presbyterian church has resigned her position effective Sept. 30. MRS. ED SINDELAR attended the N. F. A. convention at Mason City last week. STEPHEN, SON of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Briggs, has completed his basic training at San Diego, Call/, and will have a two week leave after which he will report to San Francisco, where he will enter a school of electronics. His brother Jerry Is also in the Navy and stationed at San Francisco. A RUMMAGE SALE will be held at the Methodist church Sept. 25 from 8 till 11:30. Baked goods and coffee will be sold by the June circles. MRS. FRED KENT, Sr. and Mrs. G. W. Stlllman spent last Monday and Tuesday at Minneapolis. MR. AND MRS. John Dutton were visited over the weekend by their son Jerry and wife of Omaha. MR. AND MRS. Don Krause have moved to Cedar Rapids. Don Is employed with a feed company. Mrs. Krause is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Stebritz. MR. AND MRS. H. W. Ste- britz have been visited by their sons-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Kirsch, Houston, Tex., and Mr. and Mrs. ,Jerry Clapper, Emmetsburg. They have also been at Cedar Rapids to visit their brother- in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Don Krause. MR. AND MRS. Gary Sherman have moved to 121 South Main street. The Kenneth Frisbie family has moved to 1301 East Linden street. MR. AND MRS. Lloyd Pool are moving to Renwick, former home of Mr. Pool many years ago. DR. CLARENCETompkins was guest speaker at the Methodist church Sept. 19. Ha is associated with Friendship Haven at Fort Dodge which was started by him and has now reached amazing proportions. Dr. Louis Snyder, lay-leader, conducted the services. MR. AND MRS. William Wyatt attended funeral services at Ames last Tuesday for Mrs. E. F. Honsinger, 64, who died of a heart attack. Services were delayed long enough for the son Larry to come from Viet Nam where he is in service. The Wyatts also have a son William, Jr., who has been in service 17 years and is located at Virginia Beach, Va. MR. AND MRS. Oliver Carlson have sold their acreage south of town to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Speich. The Carlsons are building a home on south 169 across the road from the Chester Schoby home. They hope to be able to move in by Nov. 1, GARY, SON of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Colwell, is home for a few days from Iowa City where he attends the University to visit his brother, Jim, who is on home oo a two-week leave from the ureat Lakes Naval Base. He will leave the 29th for temporary duty at San Diego, Calif, on the USS Jason and will then be a machinist mate in March at Great Lakes. REV. WALTER Morz of the Presbyterian church plans to att- end the Bi- Presbytery Camp and Conference committee meeting Sept. 21 at Fort Dodge. MR. AMD MRS.
