al lunaral home will be in the cemetery of Concord Presbyterian Church in Hooker, Pa. Joan (Crews) Brabant, 66, a retired secretary and former interior designer, died Saturday of respiratory failure in Laconia, N.H. where she had lived two years. She previously had been a Birmingham resident. Mrs.

Brabant worked five years as a secretary at the Bloomfield Hills Country Club, retiring in 1988. She had previously owned an interior design firm for seven years, Birmingham Interiors. She attended Michigan State University. Mrs. Brabant is survived by her daughter, Sylinda McCown; a brother, and two grandchildren.

Entombme SHERMAN M. KUUN, 83, a retired University of Michigan professor of English and associate editor of the Middle English Dictionary project at the school, died Monday of heart failure at Pontiac General Hospital. Dr. Kuhn, who lived in Ann Arbor, was associate editor and editor of U-M's Middle English Dictionary project for more than 30 years. The dictionary, which has been in progress since 1930, will document the English vocabulary between A.D.

1100 and 1500. Serial publication of the dictionary began in 1952 and more than 11,000 pages have been published. Dr. Kuhn published numerous articles on Old and Middle English and English linguistics and served on editorial boards of several scholarly journals. He received a bachelor's degree from Park College in Missouri in 1929, and master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Chicago.

He taught at Oklahoma State University before joining the U-M faculty as an associate professor of English in 1948. Dr. Kuhn is survived by daughters Evelyn Garvin, Eleanor Poster, Barbara Al-Bayati, and Dorothy Karl; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S.

For many, Mr. Moceri became their only family. "My father always felt bad that some of these people didn't have the kind of family and friends that he's always enjoyed. So he did everything he could to make their lives better," said his son, Mike Moceri. "He didn't want anyone to feel alone." Mr.

Moceri, 72, of Clinton Township, the retired owner of Moceri Son Produce at Detroit's Eastern Market, died Tuesday of heart failure at Mt. Clemens General Hospital in Mt. Clemens. The business is now run by Mike Moceri. In 1978, Mr.

Moceri founded Michigan Executive Food Catering. By the time Mr. Moceri retired in 1984, the company had prepared meals for more than 1,500 senior citizens and invalids. Mr. Moceri's father, Dominic, started an Eastern Market produce business in 1893.

Mr. Moceri's brothers took over the family business. James Moceri founded his own produce company in 1937, retiring in 1984. LUCILLE E. Jan.

Inter Deaths Elsewhere William Crawford, 82 who as a young prosecutor helped put gangster Al Capone behind bars, died Monday in Waukegan, 111. At age 23, Mr. Crawford became the youngest federal prosecutor in the country when he went to work as an assistant U.S. attorney in Illinois. He was assigned to the team of prosecutors and federal agents who put together the tax fraud case that finally brought Capone down.

Elsie Frum, 108, a survivor of the Johnstown Flood of 1889, died Wednesday in Johnstown, Pa. Mrs. Frum was 6 when she and her family fled to a hilltop and watched a wall of water roar through Johnstown on May 31, 1889.
