Mary Will Is Nurse Graduate At Des Mo'mes Mary Will, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Will, Corwith, received her diploma from the Broadlawns School of Nursing exercises August 13th in Des Moines. She will be employed at the Immanuel hospital atMan- kato, Minn. Attending the exercises were the Fred Wills, LaVoy Dawsons, Corwith, Dale Zentners and Harold NeUsons, Sr. of LuVerne, Marion Larsons of Hardy and Steve Agaads of Esthenrille, and the Danny Hewetts of Primghar. FIRE Three silos, a barn and about seven head of cattle were destroyed recently in a fire on the Ed Rouse farm near Laurens. The top of one silo exploded into three parts and went in three directions. Meurer, deceased, bearing date of the 22nd day of October, 1925, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Josephine Meurer was appointed executor of said estate. Notice is further given that any action to set aside said will must be brought in the district court of said county within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred. Begins Program Fall Activities HI. jOE - Catholic Daughters of America, Court St. Joseph, will hold its first meeting of the fall on Wednesday Sept. 8 at 8 p. m. in St. Joseph's school hall. Committee in charge of lunch and social hour will be Mrs. Bill Erpelding, Mrs. Jim Stahl, Mrs. Reinald Salz, Mrs. Paul Thilges, Sr., Mrs. Roger Bormann and Mrs. Don Reding. The Court will have a chicken barbeque and bazaar on Sunday! Sept. 12, for their first project of the year. Chairman for this event are Mrs. M. t. McGuire, Mrs. George Wagner and Mrs, joe Sinnwell. The annual guest night for officers and neighboring C. D. A. Courts will be held on Wed, Sept. 29 at 8 p. m. with the local court officers in charge. Reception of new members will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 27, with a 6:30 pot-luck dinner with Mrs. Art Kohlhaas, Mrs. Alfred Reding, Mrs. E. J. Gales, Mrs. Richard McKenna, Mrs. Bill Erpelding, Mrs. Willie Thilges, Mrs. Daryl Baker, Mrs. Marvin Sawyer and Mrs. Bill Devine committee in charge. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Illg and Mr. and Mrs, John F. Reding are on vacation with a visit with Mr. and Mrs. George Berte and son, Kansas City and points of interest. Mrs. Adeline Wagner and Sandy, Mrs. Florian Faber, Linda and Curtis Erpelding spent Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Erpelding and family at St. Joe, Minn. Returning here with them were Candlce and Susan Erpelding for a short visit with relatives and friends. Margaret Reidmillov entertained her 500 club on Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Joe Sinn- well and Mrs. Tony Becker receiving prizes. Mrs. John Thul entertains the club on Sept. 2. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Wagner and daughters returned home on Monday evening from Warren, Mich., after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson and family. Mrs. Orville Wagner entertained the R-Nu 500 club on Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Peter Kirsch, Mrs. N. J. Weydert and Mrs. Sylvester Wagner receiving prizes. Mrs. Peter Kirsch entertains the club on Sept. 30. AUDITION Nine year old Judy Ann Pauley of Defiance recently won a trip to New York City to" audition for the Ted Mack Amateur Hour.
