Out of a possible 194, Henton scored 175; his opponent 174. This established records for most ringers by a winner, most ringers by a loser and most ringers by both players. The event was also the longest game on record. "Red" is a rural mail carrier. He will compete at the Iowa State Fair in the Iowa matches.
