Sin Norton Is Wed Sir! Jean Norton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard P. Norton, Algona, was married to John Welsey Hartsfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Hartsfield of Conway, Ark. Aug. 15. The double ring ceremony took place at 2:30 p. m. in the First Church of the Nazarene in Conway. Performing the ceremony was Rev. Jack Ward of Greenbrier, Ark*, with Rev. Jack Dell as organist. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Bridesmaids were twin sisters of the bride, Lynne and Leslie Norton, and best man was Doyne Ward. Ringbearer was Joe Crosby, nephew of the bride, and flower girl was Beth Browning , niece of the groom. Personal attendant of the bride was Charlene LaBarre. Groomsman was Don Browning. .. Ushers were William Crosby, Dwayne Goode and Manny Joe Hahn. Nuptial music was performed by Rev. Orville Williams, who sang. The reception took place in the church Fellowship Hall immediately following the ceremony. Mrs. Don. Browning was in charge of the guest book . Mrs. William Crosby was at the punch bowl. Charlene LaBarre and Mrs. Doyne Ward cut the wedding cake. Tea girls were Ellen Crosby, Lola Taylor and Margaret Holley. Mrs. Don Browning was in charge of the bride's book. Out -of-town guests included Mrs. Ned Downing, grandmother of the bride, Marshalltown, Mrs. H. R. Kurtz, Mr. and Mrs. William B. Crosby and Bill, Ellen, and Joe, Marshalltown, and Charlene LaBarre of Algona. The bride received her B. S. degree from Mankato State College . The groom received his B. S. and master's in education from Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway. He is a member of Phi Delta Kappa, graduate honor fraternity. Both will teach in Window Rock public schools at Fort Defiance, Ariz. Following the ceremony and reception, the couple left to go to Fort Defiance until August 25, after which they will honeymoon in Yellowstone National Park. Corn Under Loan Lowest In Total Since June 1952 With 51.7 million bushels of corn redeemed through June 30, the maximum amount of the loan take over from the 1964 corn crop dropped to 162.7 million bushels - the lowest level since June 30, 1952, the U. S. Department of Agriculture has announced. Total 1964 crop corn placed under loan thrbugh June 30 was 214.4 million bushels. The 1963 crop corn placed under loan as of June 30 of last year totaled 386 million bushels, of which 86.3 million bushelshad been redeemed, leaving a maximum takeover on that date of 299.7 million bushels. BICYCLIST David Hunt of Early recently completed fifty miles of bicycling and will receive the Boy Scout Cyclist Merit Badge award. David has compiled a total of 150 miles on his bicycle on various trips this summer.
