In the First Methodist church, Algona. Rev. Newton M. Coughenour read the double ring ceremony. The bride, given In marriage by her brother, Richard, wore a floor-length gown fashioned from luxurious chantllace over taffeta. The design included a sabrlna scalloped neckline, fitted bodice and full length tapered sleeves to the wrists. Adding so much beauty was the full ruffled skirt In front, ending In a lovely chapel train. The bride's floor length veil of silk Illusion was held In place by a pearl crown accented witt crystal. She carried a bouquet of red roses with white stephanotis. For going away, she wore a two-piece green and white suit. Shirley Ringsdorf was matron of honor, and Cheryl Cook was bridesmaid. J. D. Andrews was best man and Philip Seaberg, groomsman. Ushers were Ross Strutters, Ronnie Zittritsch, Michael Scott and Jerry Pingel. Mrs. Newton Coughenour was organist and accompanied Mrs. Lee Strutters who sang.' A reception for 200 guests was held In the church parlors immediately following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ringsdorf and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Ringsdorf were dining room hosts witt GwenahdJanyce Strutters. Marylyn Hlldebrand and Marjo Pomplum, waitresses. Catty Steele was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Ross Strutters and Mrs. J. B. Harris cut and served the cake. Mrs. Ronnie Zittritsch and Mrs. Tom Zittritsch poured coffee and punch was served by Mrs. Ray Dorweiler and Phyllis Scott. Gifts were opened by Mrs. Don Frideres and Mrs. Harold Batt. Mrs. James Steele was personal attendant to the bride. The bride is a graduate of Algona high school and has been employed as dental receptionist and chalrside* assistant for Dr. J. B. Harris for the past 3 1/2 years. Tbe groom is a graduate of Tltonka high school, attended Omaha School for Mechanics and served in the National Guard at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. After a short wedding trip to the Wisconsin Dells, they are at home at 612 E. Pine St., Algona. Irvington Ideal 4-H Unit Met Irvington Ideals 4-H club met at the home of Mary Harlg on August 7, called to order by President Sharon Hix. Roll call was answered by 10 members. July 27 was Achievement Day which was held at the Extension office. Judges were Mrs. Wayne Keith and Mrs. Ervin Gerber. Mary Harig told about her experiences at Demonstration Day. Plans were discussed for camp. Lunch was served by Mrs. Harig. Advertising has brought us many things. Finer cars, better homes, silly fads and wonderful inventions that made life easier and longer.
