For tonight's 100th episode, Stack introduces stories about two fugitive bank robbers, an investigative reporter obsessed with tracking down a serial killer and one man's bizarre UFO odyssey. Hmmmm, two bank robbers, a serial killer and a UFO? So maybe the geek appeal is for real.

But even as TV critics yawn, "Unsolved Mysteries" merrily rolls on. Like so many TV shows subjected to critical disdain, nobody loves it but the public. L0B0T0MY POLICE: Beware, lovers of mindless brain candy. "Blind Man's Bluff (9 tonight, USA Network) is a lame-o cable suspense thriller starring Robert Urich as a blind history professor suspected of murder. It may prove too dumb and silly even for devoted lovers of dumb and silly, including me.

Urich is caught in an implausibly tangled homicidal web that includes Patricia Clarkson as his romantically inclined psychotherapist; Lisa Eilbacher Hills as his obsessive former lover, and Ron Perlman and the as his best friend and Eilbacher's current lover. Blind or not, Urich's character is basically an unsympathetic mope. Whodunit? Who cares? VA stars. SLEAZE WARNING: Pandering for ratings during the February sweeps? Not those tasteful talking heads at "Kelly Company." Well, maybe just a little bit. After exploring the wonderful world of mistresses on Tuesday's show, the Channel 7 chatting zoo topic for today is "White Collar Women, Blue Collar Men." And Thursday morning it's "Strippers for Kids." We're not making this up.
