Jung, If 0 0 0 Totals 39 13 21 In Class A Amateur Loops Purcell Loses, 19-7, While Becker Clothes Team Beat Wagners, 9-5 Miller's Fielding Features Evanston Wins.

Solway Furniture team became the only undefeated club in Class A by hanging out a 19-to-7 decision over Purcell at Deer Creek yesterday in an Eastern League game of the Municipal Association. R. B. Clothes and College Hill, Western League teams, and undefeated until yesterday, fell by the wayside. The victory for Solways gives the team four victories and no defeats.

Alex Hess, whose left-handed slants won the three previous Sames for Solway, received credit for his fourth victory. He relieved "Black Hawk" Tedesco who had been shelled from the hill by the Purcell hitters in the second inning. Purcell Jumped into a big lead, scoring one run in the first inning and six more in the second frame. It looked like Purcell's first triumph, but the heavy hitters of Solways would not be denied. Hess helped the heavy-slugging Solways by poling out a homer in the third inning for his mates' Initial run.

This started the scoring, for in the fourth the Solways came back with four more runs. In the fifth, Solways banged out six more runs and climaxed their barrage by registering eight runs in the sixth frame. Hobo Milazzo provided the hitting feature for Purcell, socking a home run for his second consecutive week. The ball landed on the infield of No. 5 diamond.

Becker Clothes and Evanston remained in a tie for second position, Beckers turning back Wagner Electrics, 9 to 5, and Evanston halting French-Bauer, 6 to 3. Art Slegel, curve ball hurler of the Beckers, allowed the Wagners 11 hits, but kept them well scattered and was helped out of tight pinches by three snappy double plays by his teammates. Howard Miller, Btocky second baseman of the Beckers, was the fielding hero of the contest. He accepted 13 chances without a wobble, and poled out two doubles to aid his team's offensive. A hustling Evanston team, which scored six runs on seven hits, was successful in turning back French-Bauers.

The Evanston team fielded in faultless fashion, while the Bauer defense faltered six times. BK( KKR CLOTHES 9, WAGNER S. BECKER. WAGNF.R. AB.H.PO.A AB.H.PO.A Samuels.

Scorer Bauer. FRENCH -BAUER EVANSTON. Fall Before Morris. Gasper Limits College Hill To Six Blows In 13-4 Setback Stegners Trim R. 11-3, As Gurth Maintains Perfect Record.

Morris Furniture team, off to a slow start by dropping the first two Class A Municipal games to Steg-ner and R. knocked the pacesetters of the Western Division from the undefeated ranks by walloping College Hill, defending city champions, 13-4. The veteran Clarence Bosse was knocked out of the box in the sec-ong inning when six tallies were registered on five hits and a walk after two had been retired. George Gasper's double, with three on base, was the finale for his mound opponent. Gasper limited the Hillians to six hits with Harry Griffith and Art Veser, of the losers, each getting a triple.

Ed Werner, the old standby for the city champions, fared little better when four more Morris runs were registered in the fourth. Junk and Burke were best on offense for Morris with three hits each, the former accounting for a triple and j.Z two singles and the latter good lor a double and two singles. Leder obtained two-thirds of his team's hits. It was too much Gasper, who struck out an even dozen, and allowed half as many hits to serve notice that Frank Morris's former K. I.

O. champions are a threat for the Municipal title. Stegner Turtles, defending national Municipal champions, showed Tony Comello's R. B. Clothes, a previous national winner, that last year's title was not a fluke, by winning an ll-to-3 decision.

Steg-ners scored seven runs in the third inning when Murray's "longest-home -run ever-seen at-Taf t-Field" cleared the clogged bases and sent Tietmeyer home for the day. "Russ" Gurth maintained his per fect amateur standing of three years. He has yet to lose an ama-tetur contest. Luke, second pitcher for the losers, finally gave way to the veteran Orville Tempke, who held the champions to one run in the last three innings. Henry Pruene, the old mainstay back of the batter for the Stegners, also clouted a four-bagger to score one ahead of him in the fifth.

Two former Class Municipal titlists waged a bitter battle at Northside Park, with Townsend-West getting the best of Fischer Rye by a 5-to-l margin. Don Lister, on the mound for Fischers, kept his team from a "whitewash" by hitting a home run in the ninth. Kenney limited the losers to four hits. Herman, of Townsend-West, led the offense with a double and a single, whiie Lister of the losers led both teams with a homer and a single. CLASS A LEAGUE.

Umpire Blum. LONG GAME Is Taken By Beecos. Win Over Heidelberg In Fifteenth Frame, 6-5, In Thrilling K. 0. Battle Potters Beat Bavarians For First Triumph.

Large crowds witnessed all three games in the K. I. O. Semi-Pro League yesterday. The Beeco-Heidel-berg game, played at Heidelberg Park, Covington, resulted in a 6-5 win for the Beecos in a thrilling fifteen-inning battle, one of the best games ever played in the loop.

At Bavarian Park, Covington, the champion Potters finally broke their three-game losing streak, beating the Bavarians, 12-3, proving entirely too classy for the home club. Feldhaus Builders, clubbing the ball to all corners, turned back the Cheviot aggregation by the score of 16-7. The Builders grabbed the lead in the opening inning and never were headed. A line drive to left by Captain Oscar Hoffmann provided the winning blow for the Beecos in the fifteenth round. Hoffman opened the inning with a single, advanced to second on a hit by Henneke, and went to third on a short hit by Colina.

Dils delivered a long fly to deep right which permitted Hoffman to score the deciding run. This was the third straight victory for the Beeco aggregation, managed by Gordie Bachman, who are in a two-way tie for first place. Nig Kressler, speedball hurler of the Beecoi, had the losers eating out of his hand with the exception of the first inning; when the losers scored their lone tally. It pulled the Beeeog Into a tie for first place with the Lampmen, but judging by comparative scores, the Beecos should be in first place all by themselves.

The Beecos crashed out a total of 19 hit in their barrage, and scored in every inning with the exception of the ilfth and sixth. The team ended strong, scoring 11 of their runs in the last three frames. They alBo fielded crrorlessly. N. Kressler, besides holding the Lamps, fanned eight of the losers and crashed a home run and a double in five swings.

Boft were solid hits. RleBenberg pulled one out of the fire by scoring two runs in the ninth inning to tie the score and three more in the tenth inning to AB.H.PO.A!
