Thirty were in attendance. - o - AT WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bomgaars attended the wedding Saturday evening of Virginia Fritz and James Spaulding at 7:30 o'clock in the Good Hope Lutheran church. - o - ATTEND WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. Perry Collins were at Des Moines June 27 to attend the wedding of Mr. Collins' nephew, Clyde Collins and Wanda Mechley. - o - FINAL MEETING Mrs. Roy Adams went to Whittemore Tuesday to attend the final meeting of the season of the Women's Missionary •Society, a non-sectarian group which met with Mrs. Nell Carlisle. - o- FAMILY PICNIC Mrs. Effie Teeter attended a family picnic at Whittemore July 4. - o - BRETT MEYER,7 Brett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Meyer, was seven years old June 25 and his anniversary was celebrated with a wienie roast at the Call State Park. Guests were Tom Brandow, Rlcki Watson, Mike Schllevert, Bruce Knudsen, David Hackbarth, Charles Kuester and Kent Hopkins. - o - COFFEE SESSION Women of the Methodist JV. S. C. S. met ^huEfidayjnQm-v. Jng for a coffee. Sir! Norton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Norton, was a guest speaker and told of her teaching In an Indian school In New Mexico. Members of the June circle served. - o - FAMILY REUNION Mrs. Pete Halsrud attended a Halsrud family reunion at West 'Bend last Sunday. Fifty-four persons were In attendance. MR. AND MRS. Charles Bird are expecting the latter's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Hochberger, Covina, Calif, for a visit on their return from a vacation at Niagara Falls and other eastern points. MR. AND MRS. Richard Moe and family and his mother, Mrs. Frances Moe, left Saturday for Bloomlngton, m. for a visit over the holiday weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Crutcher and Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Davis, sister and brother of Mrs. Frances Moe, She is on vacation from St. Ann hospital, Mr, and Mrs. Duane Sheppard, Mr, and Mrs. Michael Cink, and Judy and Nancy Ferstl spent the 4th of July at Lake Okoboji. Sunday guests were Mr, and Mrs, Louis Ferstl and Karen, and Mr, and Mrs, James Cink from Minnesota, Street Repair Job Completed At Ottoseit OTTOSEN - The work of repairing the winter-damaged blacktop streets has been completed, A coat of cold tar was applied to the prepared areas and after a week's wait, hot tar v as applied on all the streets, followed by a heavy coat of cvushed lime* stone, This was pa eked down with heavy equipment. Some additional streets were also blacktoppetf for the first time. www _^_> CENTENNIAL The 100th anniversary of the forming of Wlnnebago Lutheran congregation, Lake Mills, will be observed August 28 and 29. Former pastors and members are being issued special Invitations to the event, The church was organized Sept. 3, 1865.
