NKIT LIUL MR. AMD MRS. Robert Hall left for their home in Wheatridge, Colo. Thursday afternoon after visiting for several days at the home of Mrs. Hall's parents, Mr. and Mrs. K. S. Cowan. David Cowan, brother of Mrs. HaU's, returned with them for a 2-week vacation and will return home by train. MARK C. BERINGER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beringer, left Sunday for McGlll University, Montreal, Canada, to attend a six weeks summer school session, studying French. He has completed two years at St. John's University, Collegeville, Minn, where he is majoring in French, which he expects to teach. RUTH BENSCHOTER left June 22 by bus from Ft. Dodge for Lake George, N.Y. to visit her sister, Holly, who has summer employment there, and then will go on to Bruce Bay Harbor, Maine, where she has summer employment, starting July 1. The girls plan to attend the Worlds Fair before returning to classes at the state university this fall at Iowa City. MRS. BRUCE Hoaglund, formerly Patricia Priebe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Priebe, recently received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education at Mankato State College, with a field of concentration In modern languages. Next fall she will be teaching 4th grade at Lake Crystal, Minn. KAREN SUE Charles, Algona, was on the Ball State University campus at Muncie, Indiana, two days last week attending a freshman orientation program and enrolling for fall quarter classes. Miss Charles, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Charles, is a 1965 graduate of Algona High School, and will be on a secondary education curriculum at Ball State next fall. DICK PALMER aid his student proteges returned early Sunday from a trip to the east coast, including the New York World's Fair. Students making the trip were Mike Stillman, John Will and Tom Ricklefs. MRS. CLEM ERLANDER and daughter Janey, of Kent, Wash, arrived here Sunday for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Hill, and other relatives. DEL CLOPTON, who had surgery last Tuesday at Lutheran hospital in Fort Dodge, returned home Sunday. He will be recuperating for the next week or so at home. MR. AND MRS. Joe Bradley, Kathleen McEnroe and Mr. and Mrs. Pat Cullen, the latter of Storm Lake, attended the wedding, Saturday, of Cathy Thornsen to U. S. Representative Stanley Greigg at Onawa, Iowa. MR. AND MRS. H.W. Stebritz returned from a three-week visit in Houston, Texas, with relatives last week. Sunday they went to Lost Island lake with their granddaughter, .Mary Beth Krause. MR. AND MRS, Jim Geelan have returned from a ten-day fishing trip to Nestor Falls, Can. They report perfect weather and very good fishing. MR. AND MRS. Frank Cink are being visited by their son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Watts, Oxnard, Calif. They are also spending some time with Mrs. Watt's sister, Mrs. "Bud" Robinson and family. MR. AND MRS. Gordon Kuhn had their son Bob and family of Ankeny as Father's Day guests. They were accompanied by Mrs. Kuhn's mother, Mrs. Leota Halpin, who spent the day with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jewell Patterson. Algona (la.)
