Patricia Starr was found guilty Wednesday on four counts of violating Ontario's Elec tion inances Act Starr the central figure in a fundraising scandal that rocked the former Liberal government of David Peter son has been on trial this week on charges of making political donations above the amount allowed by the act She was convicted Wednesday in the provincial divi sion of Ontario Court on two counts each of making ex cessive donations and donating a cheque without the name of the contributor printed on it said Crown attor ney James Ramsay A further two counts against Starr were dismissed Those charges related to knowingly giving false informa tion to chief financial officers for the campaigns of Con servative Gordon Chong and Liberal Ken Keyes in 1987 In ruling on the charges dealing
