Algona (la.) Upper Des Molnes Tuesday, June 22, 1965 Becomes County Home Economist On July 1 LOIS BUSCH Lois Ann Busch, Allison, Iowa, has been employed as County Extension Home Economist, Kossuth County, and will assume her new duties on July 1, 1965. Miss Busch fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Mrs. Norma Morgan several months ago. Announcement of the appointment of Miss Busch is made by the Kossuth County Extension Council. The Council and Iowa State University at Ames jointly employ county extension staff members. Miss Busch is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Busch of Allison, Iowa. She recently received her B. S. degree in Home Economics Education from Iowa State University. She was a 4-H club member in Butler County for eight years and is a past 4-H county officer. While in college, Miss Busch was active in Y. W. C. A., Campus 4-H, Westminster Fellowship and served as an officer of her dormitory. In Kossuth County, she will work with County Extension Director, Galen DeValois and County Extension Assistant, Roger Hiemstra, in the many phases of the county extension program. She will have charge of the work in Home Economics and will assist with the work with the 900 4-H club members in 45 local clubs in the county. Miss North Iowa To Be Honored LONE ROCK - A recognition night honoring Miss Marilyn Alt, who was named Miss North Iowa June 15 at the Mason City Band Festival, will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday sponsored by the Sentral Band Mothers. Plans for the event were made under the direction of Mrs. Wilfred Radig, president of the band mothers. The public is invited to join the band members and mothers in Tionorlng Miss Alt at the Sentral School, Coffee andkool-aid will be furnished by the band mothers and those attending are asked to bring a cake or sandwiches.
