JOE - Mr. and Mrs. Hubert O'Brien announce the engagement of their daughter Mary Alma to Ronald Hejlik of Algona, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hejlik of Rockwell, Iowa. Miss O'Brien is a '61 Garrigan High, '62 graduate of P.TJ., Omaha, and is employed as secretary at the Weid- enhoff Corporation, Algona. Mr. Hejlik is a '60 graduate of Britt High, '62 graduate of Hamilton Business College, Mason City and is employed at the Thermogas Company at Algona as office manager. The wedding will take place August 7th at St. Joseph's Catholic church, SL Joe. - o - Mr. and Mrs. Albert Becker are parents of a son Daryl George born on June 12th at St. Ann's Hospital in Algona. This is three boys and one girl in the Becker family. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hanig, Wesley are the maternal grandparents. Rev. Leo C. Schumacher is leaving on Thursday for a trip through western States and Canada for a visit with relatives and friends. Rev. Edward Mason and Rev. Denis O*Keefe, CJSJSp. will be in charge of St. Joseph's Church services on Sunday June 20th and June 27th respectively. Mrs. Mary Becker observed her 86th birthday on Sunday with a family dinner held at the Holiday Inn, Fort Dodge, Mrs. Edward Boraann, St. Joe is a daughter, Herman Becker, Irvington and Julius Becker, Livermore are sons. Whittemore Folk Going To Oregon WHTTTEMORE - Mr, andMrs. Bob Higgens are moving to Oregon and have sold their home at Whittemore to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Micbaelsen of Titonka. The Don Andersons of St. Aus- gar have purchased the Archie Voigt home and will move to Whittemore Aug. 1. The Voigts are building a new residence, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Graham and family have moved from the Ellsworth Heidenwith home to the Leo McEnroe farm near AJgona. The John Carlsons have purchased the Heidenwith home.
