Parties Honor Graduates Of Seneca Area SENECA - Mr. and Mrs. Earl Crouch entertained Tuesday evening following graduation at Sentral high in honor of their daughter, Bonnie, a member of the graduating class. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Mawdsley, Mrs. Gene Abbott and daughter, Jean, and Richard Mawdsely, all of Algona; Mr. and Mrs. Dwane Mawdsley of Burt; Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Crouch of Armstrong; Mr. and Mrs. George Hypes of Armstrong; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Osborn and David; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jensen and girls; Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Brown; Mrs. Jon Johnson; Mr. Richard Pannell and Mr. Rawland, all of Fenton; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Blanchard and Susan of Lone Rock; and Mr. and Mrs. Max Dudley and Joyce of Cylinder. Bonnie has enrolled at Morning side. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ohnemus entertained In honor of their daughter Shirley's graduation from Sentral high. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wood, Whittemore; Mr. and Mrs. Dwane Wood of Livermore; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Broesder and children of Algona; Mr. and Mrs. William Bruhn and children of Fenton; Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Ernst of Humboldt; and Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Hildman and girls of Burt. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Benschoter of Algona visited the Ohnemus' Wednesday evening in honor of the event. Shirley, is planning on taking a secretarial course at Hamilton Business college. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hassel of Ottawa, Illinois, have been visiting at the home of their son and family, the Paul Hassels, and were here for graduation exercises at Sentral high school. Their grandson, Michael Hassel was a member of the class. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Olsen, also Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Olsen and family andMrs.CleoClasson of Ringsted attended graduation of their nephew and cousin, Gary Larsen at Mallard high school. Following the exercises they were coffee guests at the Kenneth Larsen home. Mrs. Betty Moll and children of Des Moines were recent weekend guests at the home of the former's parents, the August Nelsons. Jill Jensen, daughter of the Ted Jensens, of the Seneca Stars 4-H club has enrolled in the new Iowa 4-H Junior Leader project which began in Kossuth county this past week. Future Bride Feted At Ledyard LEDYARD - There was an open house miscellaneous shower honoring Florence Dammer, June 7 at 8 p. m, at the Bethany Evangelical and Reformed church here. Miss Dammer will become the bride of Eldon Junkermeier, son of Mr. and Mrs, Marvin Junkermeier, the latter part of June. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend. BAND QUEEN Peanna Brandt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Orville Brandt, was chosen by the members of the Ledyard Community school band to be their queen at the Mason City Band Festival, June 15. Deanna, a senior, has been active in the band, chorus, basketball and FT A. She is a member of the Bethany Evangelical and Reformed church and plans to take up nursing at the University of Minnesota. Twenty-three members of the eighth grade class received their promotion certificates in special' exercises held in the school auditorium Wednesday evening. Rev. Edward Maus, pastor of the Methodist church was the speaker. Diplomas were presented by Supt. DeBoer. Friday, the class, Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. Alfred Hurlburt and Mr. and Mrs. Leon McCoy went on an outing to Okoboji. Tuesday, June 8, 1965 -Algona (la.) Upper Des Moines Honor students named at commencement exercises Tuesday night were Monica Munyer, who also received the citizenship award, Dianne Waterhouse, who also received the Arion Award and Jon DeBoer who received a special mathematics award. Caroline Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Johnson, was chosen by the Matzener-Estle American Legion Auxiliary to be their GirlsStater this year. Vicki Thilges will be her alternate.
