GHS Thinlies Improve Track coach Jim Rltz of Garrigan high school has only two lettermen forming the nucleus of the 1965 Bears. They are shown above, left to right, Frank Heinen, Ritz, and Jerry Bradley. Heinen lettered last season and Bradley a couple of years ago. The Bears traveled to the Pocahontas Relays and Cherokee Relays last week, and while they didn't win any points, did show, Improvement. They will travel to the Spencer Relays tomorrow (Friday). (UDM Polaroid Photo) Sectional BB AHS Golfers Play Set At GHS, Corwith Pairings for the Spring Sectional Baseball Tournament, which opens April 28 at Garrigan Field and Corwith, have been •announced by Athletic Director ••Bill Brennan of Garrigan high. There will be two games at each site April 28, with Garrigan meeting Ledyard at 2 p.m. and St. John's of Bancroft, defending state champion, to tangle with West Bend at 3:30 at Garrigan; while Corwith- Wesley will meet LuVerne at 2 and Clarion vs. Goldfield at 3:30 at Corwith. First round winners will advance to semi-final action May 3, with one game on each field, , followed by the finals May 5 at Garrigan. All games after the openers will begin at 3:30 : P.m. . ; The Sectional champion will .advance to District Tournament ; play, slated to begin May 8. The Bulldogs have this remaining slate of dual meets: April 27 - Eagle Grove April 29 - At Estherville May 5 - Humboldt May 7 - Clear Lake May 11 - At Humboldt May 14 - Forest City May 18 - At Forest City May 20 - At Clear Lake A trip to Clarion April 19 was postponed and the meet has not been re-set. The locals will also compete in three tourneys, the Sectional May 10, North Central Conference, May 15, and District, May 17. Algona traveled to Eagle Grove for a dual April 21 and was slated to host the Eagles here today (April 27).
