Filmed by a crew led by John Livingston and Bill Banting (two of those responsible for the Darwin and the Galapagos series), tonight's special features wild animals as they are protected and encouraged in Africa's magnificent national parks, including Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda; the Masai-Amboseli Game Reserve, Kenya, the Ngorongoro Carter Conservation Area and Tanzania's Serengeti National Park.
