Cuts Expenses On Airport Job especially for dad 20 5-piece The original proposed program to resurface the Salt Lake Municipal Airport Jet xdnway has been revised. PLANS FOB THE project at the airport will be changed and newbidsjCalleLJorT-eity officials announced Friday. The program originally called for a cost of $237,000, with the Federal Aviation Agency to pay about 63 per cent and the city 37. City Engineer Roy W.

Me Leese said the revised program will reduce the runway resurfacing project to an estimated $160,000, will mean a savings of approximately $30,000 by the city. THE FAA WOULD not participate in the proposed program to resurface the entire run way wh ich ncl udes 3,700 feet of concrete. The FAA officials did noti want to place asphalt resurfacing over the concrete, sajd the officials. The plans now call for resurfacing only the asphalt portion of the runway, or 6,300 feet.
