Robert Eric Nystrom was announced Thursday evening at the Treasure Island Officers Club, San Francisco. The setting was a candlelight dinner.

The bride-elects parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Nielsen, 9089 S. State, Sandy, were hosts at the affair. They were in San Francisco, previous to the occasion, visiting Miss Nielsen, who is residing in the bay area.

Guests were seated around a table accented with American Beauty Roses and silver candelabra. The bride-elect chose a pure silk suit in a deeper shade of American Beauty red for the occasion. During the evening, the couple revealed plans for a wedding Dec. 23, in the Fort Douglas Post Chapel, Salt Lake City. Ens.

Nystrom, a son of Mr. and Mrs. August Nystrom, 9475 S. State, Sandy, is presently stationed at Treasure Island, with the U.S. Navy, He is a graduate of the University of Utah, with a degree in physics.

Before coming to Washington, he was executive director, Department of Employment Security, Salt Lake City. From Washington, the Adams will go to Texas and later to California for the winter and spring and Return to Utah in June to make their home. Curry fiave left Washington to make their home in California. Mr. Curry left last week for Utah where he will be joined by Mrs. Curry and their two children who left a month ago and have been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Heber W. Bennion Jr. at their Benview Ranch, Manila. Enroute west, Mrs. Curry visited her sister, Mrs.

Douglas Buchanan at Kansas City. In Salt Lake City, the Currys will visit Mrs. Currys brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Don W.

Bennion before going to California where Mr. Curry will be associated with the Stanford Research Institute at Menlo Park. Miss Marshs Nielsen S.L. Ceremony The bride-elect is also a U. of U.

Hoopes 27 at the Chevy Chase LDS Ward ChapeL The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson, Washington, D.C., the bride-elect attended Mary Washington College and in June will be graduated from George Washington University. Mr. Middleton attended the University of Utah.

An American University graduate, he is now attending the Wash-In gt on College of Law, American University where he is a member of Delta Theta Phi. Miss Allred, the daughter of former Utahns, Mr, and Mrs. Berten W. Allred, will be married on Dec. 18 to Richard Cowles Hyde, son of the late Dr.

and Mrs. Laron D. Hyde, Rupert, Idaho. The bride-elect is a graduate of the BYU. Mr.

Hyde, a graduate of the BYU, is now with the Department of Labor. Plan December Rites Miss Smith, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milan D. Smith, will be married on Dec.

22 to Norman R. Jones, son of Dr. and Mrs. L. Mitchell Jones, Salt Lake City.

The wedding will take place In the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The couple will make their home in Washington where Mr. and Mrs. Smith will entertain at a wedding reception Dec. 29 at the Kenwood Country Club.

Receiving with the hostess at the party on Saturday were the mothers of the brides-elect, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. All-red. Those assisting in the dining room were Mrs.

Warde M. Cameron, Mrs. Harold A. Cand-land and Mrs. J.

Glenn Dyer. Among the holiday parties last week was a dinner Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Barney L. Flanagan.

Guests included Judge Reva Beck Bosone; OGDEN Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Brown announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Susan Carol Brown, to Sherman G. Bennett.

Mr. Bennett Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip J. Bennett, Syracuse.

The marriage will be solemnized Dec. 15 In the Salt Lake LDS Temple. That evening parents of the bride will honor the couple at a recepion in the Mt. Ogden LDS Stake Center. Miss Brown has chosen as her attendants, three of her sisters, Miss Mary Brown, Miss Rebecca Brown, Miss Patricia Brown and a sister of the bridegroom, Mrs.

Alfred Ostrup Miss Bonnie Dansie and Miss Marie Haslam. Reed Bennett will be the best man. Miss Brown is a graduate of Weber College. She is now attending Utah State University, where she is affiliated with Kappa Delta, Sigma Phi Eta, Alpha Sigma Nu and the Sponsor Corps. Mr.
