PAGEFOUB THE NEW OXFORD ITEM, NEW OXFORD, NOVEMBER 14,1061 I I A Too Many Sometime ago we came across a saying that stems applicable at this time. It goes like this: Some people Uva IN a Town; some people live ON a town; some people Uve FOR a town. In view the present "stymied" condition in which the New Oxford Industrial Development Corporation finds itself at present, our community appears to have TOO MANY' of the first two categories. It is a sad situation when one person, or several, can control the industrial expansion of an area. It is sad indeed when you think what just one industry employing 100 persons can bring to the economic health of a community.

It would bring 3SO more people. 91 more school children, $710,000 more personal income per year, 100 more households, $229,000 more bank deposits, 3 more retail establishments, 97 more passenger car registrants, 65 more employed in nonmauufacturing and $331,000 more retail sales per year. The unfortunate predicament New Oxford finds itself in at this Quotas Unquot Household By ROMRTA LU time could be corrected if we had MORE PEOPLE WHO LIVE FOR A TOWN.
