PITCHING LaSalle) ND Tie, 13 to 13 BY JOE DOWDALL A season record crowd of 7,600 turned out for the Catholic League's blue-chip battle between DeLaSalle and Notre Dame Friday night and they weren't disappointed. The two Central Division powers blocked and tackled as though the City championship was at stake as they fought to a fitting 13-13 tie. DeLaSalle dominated play in the first half, keeping Notre Dame outside the 30-yard line. Two DeLaSalle drives carried to the Shamrock's 24- and nine-yard line. But the second half was all Notre Dame, until the closing minutes.

The Sham-' rocks double-teamed DeLa-Salle's 220-pound end Bob Ziolkowski and broke their backs loose. The Shamrocks marched 65 yards to the DeLaSalle goal line where they lost a fumble on a handoff and DeLaSalle recovered in the end zone. The Pilots were held to no gain and punted to their own 45-yard line. Notre Dame moved in for its first score on 10 plays, including a 20-yard gain on Mike Petrucci's run down the sidelines. PETKUCCI TOOK a pass from Dave Bonior on the De.
