Emerson, who scored Australia's only two match victories in the loss to the United States in the Davis Cup Challenge round last December is in Tampa, where he has reached the final round in the Dixie international tournament. THE TWO have been at odds with Australian tennis leaders since before the cup matches with the United States. Other top players who have sided with them are Fred Stolle and Bob Hewitt. The tennis fathers wanted the players to remain in Australia and play in tournaments there during the Australian summer. Emerson and Fletcher, who once said that they might move to England, refused and went to America for last week's United States indoor championships.
