State once again turned the mundane into mind bog gling suspense Saturday to pull out another victory Terry Harvey threw for 243 yards and three touchdowns as the Wolfpack rallied for 14 fourth quar play that turned into an interception in the final moments almost cost the Wolfpack the game teams never learn exactly how to win the football game learned how to win he added know how good we are but got a lot of insides never been around a group of young men who will fight you hard er probably with less than this group right here hard to mea sure what that means to a football The victory moved NC State (5 2 2 2 ACC) closer to its sixth straight bowl appearance while the Yellow Jackets (2 5 1 5) continued to slump despite 100 yard rushing performances by William Bell and Dorsey Levens NC State a mark previously held by North Carolina's Curtis Johnson with 168 Wake orest (2 5 1 3) opened the game with a dom inating performance that made it seem inevitable that Duke would find its way into the record books The first drive ended with a missed 48 yard field goal attempt by Mike Green However when they got the ball back after a Duke punt the Deacons reeled off a nine play 80 yard drive that featured five rushes by Leach who capped off the drive with a 2 yard touchdown run to give Wake a 6 0 lead Although next possession ended with a fum ble at the Duke 10 Duke was unable to move the
