The University of Wisconson-Platteville struck for big plays twice and handed Ferris State a 20-7 loss in its football opener Saturday. Platteville struck for touchdown passes of 24 36 yards and added field goals of 23 and 25 yards. The Bulldogs trailed by only six points for most of the second half until Platteville put the game away with a touchdown with 4:13 remaining in the game.
