Morehouse hopes to have the organ installed in the church by Easter the organ that started in show business, went into radio, and finally "got religion." Nice progression for a beautiful instrument. Whirling Voices vertible battery of radio personalities have been modeling and "pitching" the new cars at the Automobile Show.

Thousands of people have recognized them by their voices. They include Maureen Bailey, John Beeman, Carl Cederberg, Mary Lou Cook, Minnie Jo Curtis, Bob Dale, Chuck Daugherty, Joe Van Donnick, Tom Dougall, Ralph Freeman, Don Karle, Ardis Kenealy, Art Lazarow, Connie Mavis, Shelby Newhouse, Joe Penberthy, Lee Rengers, Clark Reid, Fred Weiss, Rube Weiss, Eette Wright and all these besides the disk jockeys. Don Ridler spieled before the big show of recording stars: "And ladies and gentlemen, your master of ceremonies today is none other than JACK SURRELL!" The curtain parted and out walked Joe Gentile of WJBK. Ridler had not really made a mistake.

Surrell was due, had been delayed, and the show had to go on. Joe filled in until Surrell arrived. Low Down Love this crazy business! Newscaster was comfortably seated at a studio table t'other night to give witty the stuff. When he got the red light to "go," it was quickly discovered that his microphone was dead disconnected. The Laughs Arc Not On Phoebe Dear Phoebe, a filmed comedy program starring Teter Lawford and Marcia Henderson, has dropped its laugh track again. Alex Gottlieb, producer, said that the sponsor had passed the word that canned laughter "was out until further notice." 1 Gottlieb reported" that a survey would be made shortly in Syracuse, N. to determine the reaction of iewrs.

They will view Dear Phoebe twice once with a laugh track and once without the laughter and then cast their ballots. BY DICK OSGOOD Had a sentimental twinge one morning last week as I watched Wyxie's pipe organ hauled piece by piece into a moving van. It's going Into the Our Lady of Fatima Church in Oak Park a gift from the station. MELVIN MOKEIIOUSE, technical director of WXYZ-TV, has made an avocation of organs. He phoned James G. Riddell, President of WXYZ, and said, "What are you going to do with the pipe organ when the radio station moves to the new building at Joy and Greenfield Roads?" Riddell said he hadn't decided.

Why? "I'd like it for my church," said Morehouse. "In that case," said Riddell, "you can have it." Cities outside De troit with only one channel have at least one hour a week while Detroit with four channels has only a quarter hour per week. Is that fair to fans here? We should have a couple of hours at a minimum.

I'm sure many people would rather watch a good match than certain talent shows, travel shows, half-hour theaters and dull movies. There are several programs to entertain each type of TV viewer except the fan. I hope at least dne channel will put on a good wrestling program on the air. Perhaps "Texas Rasslin' could be revived. It was superb.

Hopeful Editor's Note: You underestimate Detroit TV stations. There is more than 15 minutes of wrestling eah week. On Monday WXVZ-TV (7) has 30 minutes starting at 9 p.m. and VJBK-TV(2) has 30 minutes starting at 11:20 p.m. WXYZ-TV (7) also has an hour-long wrestling show Saturday at 3 p.m.

Praise for Disney To the Editor: I think Disneyland is beyond words. It is so different from all other programs. It is wonderful. Disneyland has one customer until it goes off the air and it is impossible to take it off because it is so wonderful. I am glad a station has brought such a great program to viewers.

Taul Caimlleri, Jr. Monday Fan To the Editor: I think I Love Lucy and December Bride are the best shows on television on Monday night. We like December Bride especially well. Joy Shepherd Onsted Polka Stopped To the Editor: Why was Club Polka discontinued? It was a very good program and we all enjoyed it very much and never missed it. However, I think they should have had the whole program of Polish music and dancing and none of the popular singers and acts.

J. J. F. Family Editor's Note: Club Tolka's sponsor had to do some realigning of their advertising budget and found it necessary to drop the show. You'll find a polka program as part of the new music series on WWJ-TV (4) Saturday at 11 p.

m. Bach to the Theaters To the Editor: Seeing that some of the big TV shows are on film, and others are to follow, I might as well forsake my armchair and head back to my theater seat. TV's one big advantage over the movies was in presenting live shows. There was an excitement in watching something you knew was actually taking place as you watched. Now, there won't be much difference and movies are getting better.
