can have the earlier blooms removed and will then crop until the frost comes and some gardeners find these easier to grow for a later crop than the new varieties The latter have become quite popular and I am assured by a firm who specialise in them that failure to get a good crop is usually due to lack of feeding In an ordinary strawberry only the central crown is bearing fruit but in these
