YOUTH RECOGNITION SERVICE IN SANCTUARY A STATEMENT urging churches to pray Sunday for President Eisenhower as he leaves for Japan next week has been issued by the Board of Directors of the Detroit Council of Churches. "People of all political and denominational persuasions will certainly wish the President well in connection with this effort to further the cause of peace," the statement said. The statement was issued to the Council's 800 constituent parishes. SIX THOUSAND Jehovah's Witnesses from the Detroit area are expected 2 p.m. Saturday for a pro-convention "klck-orf" rally.

I'Lans will be made for the annual district convention scheduled for the stadium July 28-S1. NEW MISSION developer for the Michigan Synod of the United Lutheran Church In America assigned to Troy is the Rev. Thomas M. Warme, a 1960 graduate of hwestern Lutheran Seminary in Li Minneapolis. He Rev.

Warme is conducting a survey of Troy with plans to organize a congregation by fall. THE HEAD of the Church of Finland, Archbishop Ilmarl Salomles, will visit Detroit Finnish Lutherans June 19. He Is on his way to Virginia, for the annual session of the Finnish Lutheran Church In America. Archbishop Salomles will preach at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Greenfield at Purl-tan, June 19. Wedding On June 16, Mr.

and Mrs. Harry L. Fake will have been married 63 years. "Never disagree with a woman." Is Mr. Fake's advice to newlyweds who have been mar-ird 25 years or less.

The Fakes were married In 1897 in Ilion, N. Y. Mr. Fake, 84, retired 17 years ago as an engineering draftsman with Burroughs Corp, a job he held for 40 years. The Fakes have lived in Detroit since 1905.

Tne three sons of the Fakes have died but there are three grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. The Fakes live at Presbyterian Village, 17383 Garfield, Redford Township. Mr and Mrs. Kurt H. Jubelt, of 12482 Goulburn, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday with services in the New Apostolic Church followed by a dinner in the Kurz Alt- Heidelberg and a reception in their home.

Mr. Jubelt came to the Unit-el States at the age of 17 from Germany. Mrs. Jubelt is a native of Detroit. They have two daughters, Mrs.
