TREANOR, 73, retired executive of Booth Newspapers, died Monday In his home in Saginaw after returning Sunday from a weekend in Northern Michigan. Survivors are his daughter, Mary Margaret, and a brother, Paul, both of Saginaw.

Treanor began his newspaper career as a reporter on the Saginaw News, became its editor in 1913, and in 1927 became regional director for the News, the Flint Journal, and the Bay City Times. He retired in 1946. CARL. E. CARLSON An industrial engineer, Mr. Carlson, 57, died Monday at his home at 615 Albany, Ferndale. A Detroit-area resident for 35 years, Mr.

Carlson was employed at the Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. He leaves his wife, Florence, and two children. Frederick and Barbara J. The body will be at the R. and G.

Strike Dries Beer Taps In Windsor A strike of 85 employes of the Brewers' Warehousing Co. has dried up the taps in Windsor bars and hotels. Members of Local 287, United Brewery Workers, refused to re turn to work Saturday afternoon. The union claims that the company is breaking its contract by hiring temporary employes to avoid paying fringe benefits The union and company officials met Monday to debate the issue. Windsor beer-drinkers can still buy beer for home consumption at the retail stores of the three Windsor breweries.
