Esther Cianfarani. 28 years old.4R2fi Joseph Campau who was shot by a rejected suitor Wednesday night while manv horrified passersby looked on, is still critical, it was reported at Receiving Hospital Thursday. Mrs. Cianfarani was shot twice In the neck by her assailant across the street from her home. He then took his own life with the same weapon.

The dead man later was Identified as Limpio Carlesimo, 45, of 3433 Garfield Ave. Detectives report that Mrs. Cianfarani left her husband Dominic about 11 p. m. to go to a neighborhood barber shop to have her hair waved.

A few minutes after she had left her husband heard the shots but did not go to investigate. He learned Thursday morning that It was his wife who had been shot. Although paralyzed as a result of her wounds, Mrs. Cianfarani informed police, by nodding her head in reply to questions, that her assailant had many times tried to force his attentions upon her but that she had refused to accept them.
