Ahwesh was replaced as Duke tutor by Lou (Doc) Skender, a veteran of 24 years' service as Duquesne assistant and freshman coach.

The Army sent Ahwesh to-Camp Arterbury, where he still is in bivouac as a captain with the 28th Division.
