JEANNETTE HACKETT Wedding Bells to Chime Soon for These Girls The First Presbyterian Church in Lapeer was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Elizabeth Louise Mitchell to John Dodds Smith. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abner E. Mitchell, of Lapeer, and the bride groom is the son of Mrs.

Bess Dodds Smith, also of Lapeer. The double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. Ralph W. Linsay. For her wedding, the bride wore white satin with a sweet-heart neckline and long sleeves.

The skirt ended in a long train. She carried a white orchid on her prayerbook. Mrs. Thomas J. Porter, as matron of honor, wore an ice blue gown of embroidered net over taffeta.
