Chicago, Dec. 5. For the first time since the nineties members vi the Western conference will play two football games with each other. Michigan and Minnesota will meet twice, and the same is true of Indiana and Northwestern. This unique situation was brought about by a new faculty ruling making it imperative for Big Ten elevens to play at least four games with each other.

The conference coaches went into session this afternoon at 2 o'clock, and at 6 o'clock were hopelessly deadlocked. A committee composed of Major John L. (iritlith, the Big Ten athletic commissioner, A. A. Siagg of Chicago and George Huff of Illinois was appointed to iron out the situation.
