Woodring, 72, of Muskegon. Saginaw County i snerirt Deputies said Mrs. Old was killed when a car driven by her husband, John III, 24, collided with one driven by George Bamberger, 28, of Freeland, at the intersection of two county roads in Saginaw Township. Bamberger, his wife, Cleo, 28, and Old were admitted to St. Luke Hospital in Saginaw.

Teamsters Win Hike In Wages CHICAGO UP) Teamster Union officials Sunday night announced they had reached tentative agreement with trucking operators in 12 states on new wage increases and other benefits. Details of the agreement still to be approved by union membership and by employers were not announced.

However, James Hoff teamster president-elect and head of the union's Central States Council, said the union received substantially what it asked for. AT THE BEGINNING of the negotiations Friday Hoffa asked for a package increase of 42 cents an hour for the some 96,000 cartage and intercity drivers in the Central States. However, an employer ne gotiator, Barney Oushman, of Chicago, told a newsman the increases "won't reach that proportion." He declined to elaborate. The teamsters sought pay hikes of 15 cents an hour next year, 10 cents an hour in 1959 and 10 cents an hour in 1960. They also asked for a boost of 7 cents an hour in health, welfare and pension plans.

CURRENT BASE PAY for drivers involved now is $2.27 an hour. Intercity drivers have a combined hourly and mileage formula. Although the teamsters have a contract running through Jan. 31, 1961, the agreement provides for negotiations of wage and benefit provisions during the life of the contract. Hoffa said representatives of about 100 locals will meet Jan.

9 to hear proposals of the agreement. He said results of Sunday's, negotiations will set a pattern for about 600,000 members of the 1,500,000 member union. A union spokesman earlier said negotiations involved operators and union members in Michigan, Ohio. Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Louisville, Ky. Teamsters Union members from some Southern states also attended the meetings.
