READ THESE ADS AND BUY TODAY! Old Treasure Found in Attic Office Building Secret Passage Leads to It OKLAHOMA CITY, July 12-(A.

-The discovery of three brass treasure chests containing a fortune in gold and silver, hidden in 2 secret, dusty room of a Wheeling, W. office building, was announced today by C. W. Clift, Oklahoma City attorney, who said that he had followed a clew written on a Christmas card. Dating back to the kings of France, treasure belonged to S.

Delaplaine, time United States consul in Georgetown, British Guiana, and of an estate of more than $100,000 inherited by four daughters of an Oklahoma City pioneer. The women who inherit the estate, including an island in Lake Huron given Delaplaine by Queen Victoria, are survivors of the O'Donnell sistera, beauties of Oklahoma City's early days, and are related to Delaplaine by marriage. They are Mrs. D. W.

Osterfund and Mrs. Christine Cramer, of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Winifred Abbott, of Tulsa, and Mrs. Preston la Bau, of Hollywood. Clift was attorney for the When foulirt went to a 410-acre farm near Graysville, part of the estate, for an inspection, he him that Delaplaine chests said that an aged caretaker, told of treasure which should be in the Wheeling business building.

Clift went to Wheeling at once. He said that he and the janitor of the building went at night to the rooms where Delaplaine had maintained a luxurious apartment. Removing a partition, they found a false fireplace. Removing this, they discovered a dim passageway to an attic room. There they discovered three brass chests, locked solidly.

The locks were cut and inside, Clift said, were found much solid silver and some solid gold, largely service sets engraved in antique patterns. Their value was estimated. Clift also found in the attic valuable, pearl inlaid furniture, Delaplaine the family coat and a tinted photograph which Queen Victoria had given Delaplaine. AAA Gives Rates for Beet Payments WASHINGTON, July 12-(A. -The AAA said today that the final 1934 sugar beet adjustment payment will be made at the rate of 75 cents a ton, and that the initial 1935 payment will be at the rate of 80 cents.

The initial 1934 payment was $1 a ton, total on the 1934 crop of ton. The total 1935 making, payment will depend upon prices sugar beet producers receive for the present crop. Payment of the final 1934 benefits to sugar beet producers, the AAA said, will bring the total payments on the 1934 crop to approximately $19,250,000. Growers already have received approximately $11,000,000 at the rate of $1 a ton.
