The usual summer slack period will probably be delayed until the third quarter of this year. Barring labor trouble or shut-downs of automotive customers plants, it is expected that production will continue at near capacity for the balance of the current quarter. At present the company is operating three shifts seven days a week with a total payroll of 500. At the year's peak approximately 600 were employed.
