Sunday, Jan, 4, 1953 DETROIT FREE PRESS MRS. JOSEPH L. HICKEY, JR. Mr. Hickey, Miss Pease Wed in Grand Rapids The Rt.

Rev. Msgr. Edward J. Hickey officiated on Saturday at the rites which united his nephew, Joseph Lincoln Hickey, and Margaret Anne Pease, in matrimony. The Rev.

Frederick C. Hickey came from Providence, R. I. to sing the mass at his nephew's wedding. The bride, the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Frederick Pease, of Grand Rapids, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lincoln Hickey, exchanged vows in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Grand Rapids. Breakfast followed at the Pantlind Hotel.

For the intimate family ceremony the bride wore an ankle-length gown of white satin. The wide neckline was Arnta Photo AT A TEA SATURDAY afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph William Eskridge, of Merriweather Road, announced engagement of their daughter, Olivia Lee, and Leon Mandel III, son of Mrs. George E.

Seligmann, of New York, and Col. Leon Mandel, of Chicago. The pair met while attending Cornell University. The bride-elect is member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Mr.

Mandel attended Columbia University. lace covered the bodice a and sleeves of the gown. A mantilla of lace and illusion fell over her hair ir and she carried white camellias and stephanotis. Mrs. Robert Smith, of Grand Rapids, was her sister's only attendant.

She was gowned in American beauty red, fashioned with a halter neckline and tiny matching jacket. She carried Briarcliff roses and wore the same blooms in her hair. Edward J. Hickey III was his brother's best man. Guests were seated by Charles Pease, brother of the bride, and David Dillon.

Mrs. Pease wore an azure blue crepe frock with a lace yoke and matching jacket. The color of her mauve hat and accessories was repeated in the pink-tinged roses which she wore. Mrs. Hickey chose a purple taffeta frock, cut with a square neckline and embellished with pink sequin buttons.

A small pink felt hat matched the roses which she pinned to her purse. After a motor trip to New Orleans the Hickeys will reside in Grand Rapids. College Club Schedules Student Panel College Women's Club has invited a group of Wayne University students to its Wednesday afternoon meeting, in the Hotel Tuller, The students will participate in a panel on diverse racial, religious and cultural backgrounds. On Friday evening the club members will hold their annual Twelfth Night celebration at the home of Mrs. William Klenk, on Devonshire Road.
