1 181 1 Charlevoix Obituaries GEORGE W. HOOD An employe of the Fleetwood Plant of the Fisher Body Division of General Motors Corp. for 30 years, Mr. Hood, 61, died Thursday in his home, 14421 Artesian. He was a native of Detroit.

Before joining Fleetwood, he was associated with his father In the drug business at Milwaukee and Woodward. He was a member of Grand River Post 1519, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his wife, Marguerite; three daughters, Mrs. D. R.

Evans, Mrs. W. J. Seele and Mrs. W.

J. Dee; three sisters, Ina, Niti and Miriam, and 10 grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:30 a. m. Saturday in the F.

Otto, 72, died Thursday at his home, 2740 Col-lingwood. A graduate of Iowa State Col lege, Mr. Otto joined the Parke, Davis Co. in Detroit in 1905. With the exception of three years 1910 to 1913 with the International spondence School, he was with Parke, Davis Co.

The deputies asked for a meeting with the North Atlantic Pact's military committee for the "joint consideration of the political-military aspects of the German contribution." "IT IS EXPECTED that this meeting will be held in the very near future," the deputies said in a communique. The military committee is headed by Gen.

Omar Bradley, chairman of the United States Joint Chiefs of Staff. Its approval of the plan is expected to be followed quickly by President Truman's appointment of Gen. Dwight D. Author Jailed for Smuggling ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands (J) A Vienna-born New York author of children's books and film scenarios was sentenced to nine months in prison for attempted gold-smuggling.
