24 Down in Independence, a quiet town of 3,691 in Iowa's tall corn country, CERTAIN MEMBERS of the coaching fraternity seem io be doing a pretty good job of demonstrating to the public that directing a major football team i8 definitely not a year-around job. For example, Richard (Dick) Harlow, of Harvard, is curator of the Harvard Museum of Oology, James G. Anderson, of Iowa.

His Hawkeyes will play Michigan at Ann Arbor Saturday in what can well be the last big-time gridiron extravaganza at U. of M. for the duration.
