Jordan said today a 16-year-old hitrnhiker shot a man who had given him a ride, leaving his victim critically wounded on the banks of the Clearwater river some 20 miles east of Lewlston. The youth was captured here In the car he took from his benefactor, William A. Nleman of Sandpoint, the deputy said, adding the boy had confessed. He said the boy gave his name as Marlon Edward Evans of Irrl-gon, Ore. Reviewing the Incident, Jordan said the young gunman robbed Nleman, forced him to leave the car and fired eight shots at him as he walked down the river bank. Hospital attendants at Lewis-ton said Nleman had "at least six bullets in his body."
