U.R) If you want to live to be 140, never have any heavy thoughts and take long walks in the mountains. The authority for this latest old age prescription is "the oldest man in the world," Saip Oglu Veli, according to the newspaper Vatan. Vatan sent a correspondent to the mountain village of Magancura in Eastern Turkey to interview the man who claims to have passed 140 "several years ago." "I walk in the mountains eight hours every day," this "Mountain Methuselah" told his interviewers. When asked the secret of his old age and when his young interviewer turned down an invitation to accompany him he said, "I think you must be getting old if you can't walk eight hours." Veli claims to have lived under six sultans and two presidents in Turkey and to have fought in the Napoelonic. war to Nlzip against the Egyptians in 1839, in addition to a campaign to lift the Honeymoon Trip by Tandem! Allen, British press attache in Istanbul, who first discovered the grizzled ancient, told press correspondents he was first skeptical of the old man's claim to life but after questioning him about history of the period, believes it true. "I have only milk and yogurt to eat and only a goat to look after me so if I can find a woman who can take care of me I'll get married again," explained the old man in answer to questions about his two marriageu. "And if you want to be happy in marriage do like I did," the ancient told Vatan. "I got married and took my wife into the mountains for a 15-year-long honeymoon. We were very happy." "The Bernard Shaw of the mountains," he was dubbed by Allen, who visited Veli while on a trip into eastern Turkish provinces.

But Veil was paging Mae West and not Shaw when Vatan's reporter climbed on his motorcycle and said farwell before descending the narrow mountain trail from the village. "Come back and sec me sometime," Veli shouted cheerfully, "I'll be waiting for you."
