MAYOR (Voto for one) RECORDER (Vote ror one) TREASURER (Voto for one) accompanying tne president saw Wright worming Ills way through the crowd. Calling to several policemen, Iho detectives sprang toward the man, and, after a sharp scuffle, handcuffed him. A search of his clothing revealed a 38-calibre revolver, a score of cartridges, also a small camera. He was locked up in jail, and a charge of carrying a concealed weapon was lodged against him. Police Captain liailey, who participated In Wright's arrest, snid thai the man's actions were suspicious aud T'that his manner of carrying the cain-- era indicated an ulterior motive.

Wright refused to make any statement, except to say that he was trying to get as near the President as possible In order to take his picture. The police give this assertion little credence, believing that Wright was using the camera as a blind for an opportunity to commit a foul deed. Wright gives his age as and says his parents ale wealthy residents of Lowell Center, Mass. lie claims to be on a pleasure tour of ilie A shield found upon him b. forth the explanation that i lie was formerly a policeman in Lowell Center.
