Anderson, who passed away at the- Veterans hospital in Portland Saturday, will be held at Perl funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev.

W. A. Dawes, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. American Legion Post 15 will have charge of services at the graveside In Siskiyou Memorial park. The deceased, a photographer by profession, was born in Litchfield, on April 2, 1879, and was aged years.

vMr. Anderson was a member of the First Baptist church and had been a member of American Legion Post 15 for 30 years, 25 years of which were spent as post chaplain. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are a nephew, Capt. Jack L.

Paxton, U. S. army, and sister, Emma, Los Angeles. MYRTLE McCABE Funeral services for Myrtle McCabe, who passed away in a local hospital Monday, will be held at the Perl funeral home Friday at 2:30 p. m.

with the Rev. C. W. Frost of the Apostolic Faith church, officiating. Entombment will take place in Medford Memorial mausoleum.

Mrs. McCabe was born at Eagle Point, where she made her home at the time 'of death, on Dec. 10, 1900. Dean, 1008 South Oakdale avenue, is leaving today by airline for San Antonio, Texas, to attend the funeral of his brother. Master Sgt. Gilbert Dean, who was killed in an accident at Kessler Field last Saturday. Sergeant Dean had recently returned from duty in Japan and his wife, Celia, reached San-Antonio from Japan only a few days before the accident. He was a veteran of the air corps, having spent more than zo years in that service branch.

Solicitations For Certain School Ex-GIs of this area who are urged by a solicitor to enroll in a trade school or correspondence school should check with the veterans administration if they plan to study with the aid oi the Ql bill, Ellis L. Knight, VA representative at Medford, warned today. "Numerous instances of questionable soliciting for schools have come to light in Oregon this winter," Knight pointed out. "Some veterans have lost both money and time because of misunderstandings which the solicitors apparently fostered." No solicitors reprwaent the VA or carry its endorsement. The VA promotes no schools, but a veteran may learn of approved schools by maturing at VA of fices.
