The subject of the lecture will be "Black Religion, Gospel Singing, and Folksings." As with most programs at Drew, the event will be free and open to the public. Sponsored by the northern New Jersey society of the Archaeological Institute of America, the slide-illustrated program will be part of the regular monthly meeting of the archaeology group on March 16.

Edward Limmer, who will speak on the Troy Brook ruins in Parsippany, is a member of the society's executive board. Chekhov Film Next in Series PRINCETON McCarter, Theatre's International Film Series will present the first Princeton showing of Sidney Lumet's 1968 screen adaptation of Chekhov's "The Sea Gull" On Monday, March 1 5 at 8 p.m. As in his version of "Long Day's Journey into Night," Lumet photographs the pity "straight" the film follows the original scene by scene, and his attitude towards the original is dignified and reverent. The all-star cast is headed by Vanessa Redgrave as Nina, James Mason as Trigorin, David Warner as Konstantin and Simone Signoret as Arkadina. M. Yopp, director of the Bucks County Theatre Company, says, "Indians" is about the process of mythology, not about how badly the Indians were treated.
