If you missed the Community Chorus program last Sunday, you missed a really good program. If you did miss it, then mark July 18 on your calendar. That's the date of the community Sunday School picnic, and the chorus will be singing.

The chorus invited all former members and anyone else to Join them for this program. If you did go to last Sunday's program, don't just pass it off as a good show, but think about what was sung. For the Palm Sunday valley service, Gary Edwards from Slanesville, W. will be presenting a program with slides of the Holy Land at the Lower Path Valley United Presbyterian Church. The Upper Path Valley United Presbyterian Church will host the Good Friday service, and Rev.

Charles Tolbert of St. Thomas Methodist Church will speak. The girls' hockey season started this week. Mrs. Arlene Babb, women's athletic director at Fannett-Metal High School, is the coach for the team.

Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Orendorff of West Virginia spent Saturday night with their cousins, Mr.s and Mrs. Herman. Burkett, of Big Spring Heights.

Sunday, along with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Orendorff, of Hagerstown, they were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wiser.

Other guests were Herman Burkett, Big Spring Heights, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ferner, Gettysburg R. D. 1.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wiser were supper guests Sunday evening at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Goyd Fry of Carlisle.

Mr. and Mn Dennis Fry were also upper guests. Mr. Fry, Dennis Fry and Mrs. Wiser were celebrating birthdays.

Fannettsburg By MRS. FRANK THOMPSON Sunday, being Palm Sunday, the Lenten service will be in the Lower Path Valley Presbyterian Church. Gary Edwards of Slanesville, W.Va., will give commentary on slides of the Holy Land. The service begins at 7:30 p.m. Monday was beautiful.

There was ice on the puddles in the early morning. We had heavy rain and thunder early Sunday. It made a very chilly and damp day. The choir sang the anthem "God So Loved The World." Rev. McClure read passages from Jeremiah 31 and St.

John 11 His sermon was titled "The Eternal Purpose." Mr. and Mrs. Gulden of Hanover who have a home in Lincoln Campsites attended worship. Rev. and Mrs.

Emil Teyssier of Mer-cersburg attended worship. A number of folks attended the Lenten service in the Spring Run United Methodist Church. This is a busy week for many folks. The Boy Scouts met Monday evening. The Cub Scouts met Tuesday evening.

The choir rehearsed Wednesday evening. A joint session of Lower Path Valley and Burnt Cabins churches met Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. This is a reminder that "Our Country of Thee," a choral pageant of the history of America, will be presented by the elementary school band, chorus and fifth and sixth grades at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Fannett-Metal High School auditorium. The sacrament of Holy Communion will be observed in the Lower Path Presbyterian Church Thursday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m.

The Men's Fellowship will sell Easter flowers at Geyer's Store on April 15 to 17. The proceeds will go to the building fund. The roof is being placed on the church. A group of men cleaned up the Reformed Cemetery, after the wind had blown much debris on it. SSC concert band makes two-day tour The concert band of Shlppensburg State College will be making a two-day performing tour of Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, April 8-9.

The 60-member unit will be performing Thursday, April 8, at the Cumberland Valley High School Mechanicsburg R. D. 1, at 8: 15 a.m.; Paxon Hollow Junior High School, Newton Square, 2:15 p.m., and Ocean City High School, Ocean City, N.J., 8:15 p.m. Friday, April 9, the group will perform again at the Ocean City High School at 8:45 a.m., then will travel to the Middle Township High School, Cape May Court House, for a concert at 1:30 p.m. The following group of area SSC students performing in the band will be making the tour: John Homeys, 130 Park Place West, Shippensburg; Brian Starry, 115 North Washington Shippensburg; Pattie Ocker, Shippensburg R.
