HEN tlic men folks arc. at work and the youngsters at school, your neighbors from "across the love to run in for a cup of coffee while they sample your latest coffee cake, kuchen, or stollcn. We cooks all agree that there's no hotter fun than testing new reeipgs, adding or substituting ingredients according to Our own fancy, then having our friends pass judgment on them. Some of us make a hobby of collecting recipes just for kaffce klatch use. Whole cook books have grown out of just such a beginning.

Granted, most of us gather our recipes into a cook book for our own use only, but occasionally these collections assume more significant proportions. Such, is the case of a most'unique and outstanding, cook book which originated in much this-manner in West Bend, Wisconsin where the ladies of the Guild of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church gathered fashioned- them into a cook book to raise funds for their church.
