He served as a law cler k for th e late Judge Joseph Wilson from 1973 unti l 1991, Neal lived in Pittsburgh and returned to the Erie area in 1991. He was very active in the Erie County Democratic Party. Neal is survived by two brothers, Thomas J. Mangold and his wife Patricia of Erie, and Richard Mangold and his wife Susan of Marietta, GA.
